Whether you’re an expert or a newbie at cleaning, an oven covered in all kinds of gunk will fill you with equal amounts of trepidation. It will make you question your cleaning capabilities, and even convince you that there’s no way an oven this dirty has a shot at being clean again.
You can take the easy route and have the professionals do it for you. You can also buy those fancy self-cleaning ovens that will take care of the job for you (but remember that those things have chemicals that can damage your oven in the long run). If you want to save your hard-earned money, you can also clean that oven yourself. Don’t worry, this tutorial video by Wendy Hanenburg of Awakening Willow will show you a very easy, inexpensive, and effective way to do it.
You’re not going to believe it, but all you’ll need for this cleaning project are baking soda and a spray bottle filled with water. You just need to sprinkle a generous amount of baking soda and then spritz it with water. Leave it overnight to allow the baking soda and water mixture to absorb all the unpleasant stuff. The next day, scrub and wipe everything off with a damp towel. It’s that easy!
