Do you love the night sky? There’s a sheer joy that comes from looking at the night sky and seeing all of the glimmering stars. When I was a kid, my bedroom ceiling had those glow-in-the-dark star stickers. I wanted to have the same thing for my home but these star stickers felt too childlike.

Luckily, Corinne from Thread Banger shared a video on how she made a constellation canvas. It’s a classy way to bring back those fond childhood memories.

So from this (this photo really reminds me of my room!):

I found this stylish representation of constellations. It’s a marvelous piece and an instant conversation starter.

Plus it’s an easy DIY project too! All you need is an art canvas, black acrylic paint, white marker, white string lights, a nail, and some duct tape.

Paint your canvas black and let it dry. Print out the pattern that you prefer (Corrine used a pattern of constellations in Astrology) and copy it on your canvas. You don’t need to be good at drawing here! Just use a larger dot for the main stars, connect with a straight line, and use smaller dots to represent distant stars.

Use the nail to punch through the big stars. Next, get your string lights and put the bulbs in and secure with duct tape. Plug the string lights and see how your new wall decor illuminates your home!
