If you’ve got a bunch of wooden crates sitting in your garage waiting to be thrown out, hold off until you see this.
I was amazed at how this redecoration project turned out. Tara, a true-blue DIYer, shared how she transformed wooden crates to a beautiful and functional coffee table.
With the help of a few tools, the crates have gone from normal wooden crates to this:
Gorgeous, right? You’ll need a piece of plywood to join the crates together, a can of wood stain and paint brush, electric drill, caster wheels with locks if you want to drag the table around your living room, and L brackets.
You can choose to sand the edges with an electric wood sander. Paint your plywood and wood crates then let these dry. Next, attach the caster wheels to the plywood. Now, arrange the crates whatever way you want. Drill through the crates and attach to the plywood. Don’t forget to connect the crates together too. If you want to make space for a centerpiece, measure the opening in the middle, cut a piece of plywood with the same size, and use L-brackets to hold the plywood.
The result is a striking and efficient coffee table/container/centerpiece showcase.
