I have been cooking omelets for most of my adult life, but never have I thought of cooking it this way. It’s absolutely brilliant! This will work great if you’ll be cooking for the whole family, or for a bunch of guests who are staying over. This genius kitchen hack will save you a lot of time and a ton of mess in the kitchen. I love it!
You just put two eggs inside a Ziploc bag, press out the air from the bag, and then seal it. Squeeze the eggs until you get the consistency you need for a regular omelet. Open the bag and you can start putting in your favorite omelet ingredients! (My omelets usually have cheddar cheese, mushrooms, tomatoes, and onions.) Once you’re done with your omelet ingredients, seal the bag again and shake it to mix everything up.
Boil a pot of water and put in your omelet bag. Let it cook for about 13 minutes, or longer if your omelets are still a bit watery. Depending on the size of your pot, you can cook as many omelets in a bag as you can fit. Isn’t that great?
